Chirayliq Eurovision: Alexander Rybak

Mum reminded us that it's Eurovision Song Contest season again ... So, let's start with Norway!

Yes, the Norwegian performer this year is a cute guy called Alexander Rybak. He was born 1986 in Minsk, Belarussian SSR, and when he was four years old, his family moved to Norway. Rybak has been playing various instruments since he was five years old, and both his parents are violinists. The song "Fairytale" was composed and written by Rybak himself.

He's so cute! I first saw him on my BF's computer screen a couple months ago (he is European and thus gets into things like Eurovision and football ;-))

I'm so excited that you guys put him on the blog, because seriously, he is just ... cuteness personified.

Yes!!! My only peeve is that he should be singing in Russenorsk ^_^

In this lovely interview from a Norwegian late night show, Alexander seems really nice in person, too, natural and easy-going. I can't help thinking that he looks super-Russian, but he reminds me of my super-Finnish BF (except the eye-colour), too...
